Bridesdale Kanu-Okoro works with Verture as the Private and Public Sector Engagement Project Lead for the Adaptation Scotland programme, supporting organisations across Scotland to strengthen their understanding of climate-related risks and their implications for business operations, supply chains and service delivery and strengthen their ability to adapt. Bridesdale brings extensive experience in strategic procurement and supply chain management in complex and changing environments, with expertise in strategic sourcing, logistics, supplier management and contract management among other areas. Throughout her career, Bridesdale has developed a strong understanding of how supply chain disruption, supplier dependencies, logistics constraints and changing external conditions can affect organisational performance and resilience. In her current role, Bridesdale is particularly interested in in the links between climate risk, procurement, supply chains and business continuity. She works with organisations to consider how climate-related risks may affect suppliers, production, logistics, infrastructure and the availability of goods and services. Bridesdale brings a supply chain perspective to the discussion on climate risk, focusing on how climate-related disruption can affect the flow of goods and services through supply chains, where vulnerabilities can arise, and how organisations can better account for climate-related risks in supply chain planning and supplier management.
