Programme Manager - Climate Springboard
Mhairi Cochrane
Edinburgh Climate Change Institute
Mhairi is a Programme Manager at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute and is passionate about the role that good engagement and facilitation can play in tackling the climate crisis. She leads the Climate Springboard programme, which has supported and trained 300+ SMEs across Scotland to get started with net zero and climate action, working in partnership with organisations including Highlands and Islands Enterprise and VisitScotland. Mhairi is interested in the role businesses can play in tackling climate challenges and wants to make sure SMEs aren’t left behind in the net zero transition. With years of experience leading high-impact education programmes, she has a knack for turning big climate goals into practical, relevant action for businesses and organisations. Mhairi and the team are also supporting delivery of the Adaptation Scotland programme. She is particularly interested in what can be learned from their work on net zero accelerators, and how those learnings can help businesses understand and prepare for the impacts of climate risk without feeling overwhelmed.
